Jail
Ministry
The purpose of our Ministry is summarized in Luke 4:18:
The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal
the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that
are bruised.
The jail team ladies (twelve of us) have the privilege of going
to the Pierce County Jail to deliver the gospel of JESUS CHRIST
to the Ladies in the Jail. That consists of simple Bible study
which gives them hope, love, and life everlasting. We sing,
laugh, and cry with them because Jesus has been so faithful.
He is there when we show up.
All we know is He loves these ladies
in the jail. We also have the privilege of experiencing his
unconditional love for them and we are growing and learning
about who God is and who we are. We are weak but He is strong!
